That’s My Word™ promise wall

Make your Multiple Myeloma Promise today

When you make your Multiple Myeloma (MM) Promise, it’s a promise to yourself to take care of your health, to look out for the things that may cause MM, and to spread the word. It’s a commitment to us—your Black community—to do what you can to live your best life by recognizing our risk for MM and starting conversations with your doctor.

The MM Promise is more than just a verbal commitment. It’s a lifestyle for Black health and protecting our communities through knowledge when dealing with MM.

I promise to have regular lab work. My husband was diagnosed with MM at age 42 after being misdiagnosed for three years. He is 57 and still in remission. Praise God!

I promise not only to get the facts but to share my findings with others. I have lost 2 siblings to cancer. I appreciate DL's effort to share with others fact and the encouragement to learn.

I lost my sister in 2016 to MM and it was devastating to me and my family. She was only 54! I promise to get my checkups and stay informed.
